Do I have to be a member to order?

Yes you do, however membership is completely free, and there is no obligation to you by becoming a member.  Joining gives us a way to contact you, tells us where to deliver your boxes and provides us with any special delivery instructions.  We will always protect your information and will never sell our customer lists to any third party!  Please review our Privacy Statement if you have any questions about how we use your information.

Are the boxes the same each week?

Usually not.  The contents of the boxes depend on what's available that week, so you can expect to see those fruits and vegetables that are in season.  There may be some of the same things from week to week, but many items or varieties will change. For example citrus will be prevalent during the winter months, but we may offer navel oranges one week and temple oranges the next.  We will email you with the contents of the boxes each week and will also post them on the website.

How much are the boxes?

We offer 3 different sizes.  The Tiny box is $31, the Small box is $41, and the Medium box is $51.  You'll get more, fresher produce for your money than if you go to Whole Foods or go from store to store trying to find it all.   AND, it's delivered to your door!  You simply can't beat it!

Where do you deliver?

At the present, we are only servicing families in Fayette County, East Coweta County,  and S. Fulton County.  We hope to expand our delivery area soon!  We can deliver to your home, office, or other central location.  If there are several families in your neighborhood that want to order, we can deliver to one central location that makes it easy for pickup.

What if I'm not home when you deliver?

We ask that you tell us where you would like us to leave your box - on the porch, in the garage, or other place.  During warmer months, we will put an ice pack in the box to keep it cool, so it should be fine until you are able to get home and unpack it.

When will my order be delivered?

Orders placed by midnight on Monday will be delivered the following Thursday.

Can I change what is in the box?

Unfortunately we are not able to offer custom orders at this time, but occasionally may be able to respond to your special request.  For example, if you are allergic to kale, let me know and I will do my best to substitute something from my own box.    Please let us know if you have a special request for additional organic products!

Can I cancel my order?

Sure, as long as it is cancelled by Monday at midnight.  Just send us an email or call us.

Do I have to order every week?

No.  It's totally up to you how often you order.  We know that people travel or have other reasons that make a weekly order impractical.  We only ask that when you do order that you have your order placed no later than midnight on Monday for delivery the following Thursday.

What if something in the box is of poor quality or is damaged?

We guarantee all produce!  We try to ensure that our produce is of the highest quality and is at its freshest, however occasionally a "bad apple" slips in.  If that happens, we will replace the item at no charge to you the following week.  Just let us know right away when you receive your box.

What if my box doesn't arrive?

Please let us know if you have not received it by Thursday evening.  We will usually deliver as soon as possible on Thursdays, but sometimes delays are inevitable.  We will always let you know if we will deliver on a different day.

Can you recycle my box?

Absolutely!  We will reuse or recycle your box and ice pack.  Help us keep costs down by leaving them out for us and we'll pick it up with your next delivery.

Is Organic better than Local?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.   Based on my research, here is my order of preference:
1) Certified Organic Local
2) Certified Organic
3) Local - growing conditions unknown or uncertain.

We choose organics first regardless of where they come from because we can get a great variety of produce all year round and we are sure there are no chemicals used on our food.   Local organic produce is great when it's in season and we try to include as much in our boxes as possible.  However, in the dead of winter, opting for local only just doesn't meet our nutritional needs or offer the variety we should be getting in our diets.    And, if the local produce in question is grown with chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, then organic is definitely better!

"What about the transportation impact on the environment for those products that come from far away?" you say?   Of course we also care about our environment, but the facts are that most of the impact of getting food from the ground to your table comes from the fuel used during the farming process, not during transportation to market.  Do we want to minimize the transportation costs?  Yes, absolutely.  Do we want to offer you fewer inferior choices in doing so?  Nope, and we don't think you want that either.  Fresh, clean food is our #1 priority!

What are GMOs and why should I avoid them?

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) are crops that are genetically modified for a number of reasons.  One of the main reasons they are modified is so they produce their own insecticides or so they can withstand the spraying of Roundup for weeds that grow nearby.  Either way, if they contain organisms that kill bugs or if the crops are sprayed with Roundup (a known carcinogen), what do you suppose they are doing to our bodies?   These seeds and crops have not been tested for any long term effects, however many countries around the world have banned their use due to health concerns, and recently in France, studies have shown an undeniable link to breast cancer.    Watch this two minute video for more information.
