Marinated Cucumber Salad

Ingredients:
- 2-3 cucumbers, thinly sliced
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup white vinegar
- ½ cup water
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon dried dill
- ½ teaspoon salt
- black pepper to taste
- Combine vinegar, sugar and water in a saucepan over medium high heat. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
- Place cucumbers and onion in a large bowl, and pour hot vinegar mixture over cucumbers. Stir in dill, salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour and up to several days.
- Serve cold or at room temperature.
